Remotely Guided Forest Therapy Walk

Book a spot on a scheduled walk. Join a group of up to 12 people.

Service Description

We'll walk together in Nature. Though apart! Being remotely guided you get to decide where you’d like to explore. Ideally the area should be safe and beautiful, and you need to have good mobile phone signal. Many people choose to stay in their own gardens, whilst others venture out to local nature parks. Some choose to do this whilst on holiday in more remote and wild locations. Via a Zoom or Google Meet online session I'll guide you to consciously connect with what’s around you by awakening your senses and encouraging you to take in Nature at a much slower pace than you're accustomed to. OVERVIEW A Forest Therapy Walk is not the same as Japanese Forest Bathing, though it is inspired by this. Nature/Forest Therapy Walks have been scientifically proven to boost immunity, lower stress, and help your brain to work better. Over and above these physiological benefits, this practice also helps us to cultivate our connection to Nature. A Forest Therapy Walk is not a fitness hike, not a naturalist-led point-and-name tour, and not psychotherapy in a natural setting. It's as simple as walking in a natural environment and consciously connecting with what’s around you. I'll guide you through a series of invitations that aim to awaken your senses, encourage you to take in Nature at a much slower pace than you're probably accustomed to, and enliven a more conscious connection with the inherent healing properties of Nature. PARTICIPATION All is welcome on a Forest Therapy Walk. It is great for all ages (although children under 16 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian). A Forest Therapy Walk is most beneficial when embarked on as an individual (within the group). TIME A walk takes between two and a half and three hours.
